I always struggled with Biochemistry especially calcium metabolism. In my job now I don’t need to understand the intricacies of this. The good news is there’s always reference books to review when something crops up you don’t quite know.

I found Genetics really hard to understand. Thankfully I had a good lecturer who was kind enough to take tutorials and have 1-1 sessions with me so I could get up to speed. Lecturers are there to help you so it’s important to say when you’re struggling.

I struggled most with learning facts in isolation without understanding how it applied to patients and their illness. When you can put things in context and maybe relate it to a patient you’ve seen it is so much easier to understand and remember.

I assume you meant this for a clinician so I can not really answer this.
