I earn about £32k but Practice Manager’s get paid different amounts dependant on where in the UK they work and how big the Practice is.

The average full time GP partner earns £100 000 a year before tax and medical indemnity insurance (medical indemnity insurance costs around £10 000 per year and is a like an insurance policy if you get sued)
If you are a full time salaried GP (i.e. an employee of the practice not a partner in the business) the average pay is around £70-80 000 a year.
I am a half time GP partner so you can work out roughly what I get paid.

I’m in the middle of NHS Band 5 payscale. You can google it and work it out. We don’t get extra pay for unsociable hours so there are no extras involved.

Like Katherine’s answer – I’m a full-time partner at my practice. Technically its not a salary but my share of the profits from the business. Usually its around the £100k level give or take. More recently GPs aren’t wanting to be partners so take up a salaried position where they have clinical responsibilities but less management roles in practices. Their salary is around the £70-80k range.
