  Each profession is different but for nursing I studied science, maths, English and then other subjects which I enjoyed liked PE. At Alevel I studied sociology, psychology, health and social care and biology. Most nursing courses ask for a minimum of a C in maths and English at GCSE.

  Hi, Julie here. I needed 5 GCSEs c or above including maths and English but I think it may have changed now.

  I did a broad mix of subjects at school but honestly it was such a long time before I went to university that it’s almost irrelevant!

  I did 11 GCSEs which included biology and other sciences. I also did French and English and maths among other things.
