I think there are around 7500 GP surgeries in the UK. They vary from tiny ones with just a few hundred patients such as on the remote islands of Scotland up to huge super surgeries with 50 thousand patients. I m not sure about hospitals really. Hopefully one of the others will be able to answer that for you. Kirsty

There are hundreds of hospitals in the UK. This is a list of all the NHS trusts (hospitals that provide NHS services) but I think it only covers England.

This is a list of statistics about the NHS in England but it was last updated in July 2017. It reports about 7,500 GP surgeries and hundreds of hospitals. https://www.nhsconfed.org/resources/key-statistics-on-the-nhs

I’ll ask the CQC (Care Quality Commission) if they can answer this question. The CQC are the health regulator in England. They inspect every hospital, GP surgery and clinic so they should know how many hospitals and health centres there are in England and who to ask in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
