How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate, kind and courageous.
What's your favourite food?
I like all types of foods and have eaten different foods from around the world, I particularly like fresh sea food, but Indian food in India is also my favourite!
What did you want to be after you left school?
I wanted to care for people, but did not realise how many different caring roles there was in the big wide world!
Were you ever in trouble at school?
I had a detention or two, but never did I get in serious trouble. I was a little cheeky but respected the teachers as my elders and remembered how precious education was before it was too late, I enjoyed my school life and the structure it provided me with.
What's the best thing you've done in your career?
I have welcomed life and held the hands of those loosing life, I have seen a real heart beating and have been privileged enough to experience organ donation and transplantation.
I have delivered first aid to the less fortunate in India and delivered a health promotion activity on oral hygiene.
What or who inspired you to do your job?
I had a little brother (ten years younger) who I took great care of, I always wanted to do for others and found myself taking the “mothering role” in most aspects of my life. In my personal life I was exposed to addiction and was always fascinated by the human body.
If you weren't in healthcare, what job would you do?
I would work closely with children and educate them through play theraphy. Children’s entertainment, Disney, kids club, holiday camps etc.
