• Question: will u still get heavily taxed from ur job even if the taxes pay you?

      Yes unfortunately.

      Benjamin Franklin said ‘in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes’

      The NHS can do it’s bit to avoid death but taxes are beyond us!

      But joking aside, the reason we pay tax is so that we can help to look after vulnerable people who can’t support themselves. The NHS has been free to everybody for the past 70 years and I’m happy to do my bit to keep it that way.

      Sue N – yes we get taxed at the same rate as everyone, teachers, nursery nurse, lawyers. maybe not footballers though!
