I live in Codnor (Derbyshire) with my husband, two children and two dogs!

My job has so much variety! In one shift I can go between childhood immunisations (vaccinations), women’s health, diabetes and wound care!

My Typical Day:
I wake up, get the kids ready for school and myself in my uniform whilst grabbing a cup of coffee. I drop the kids off at breakfast club and head to work for 8am. I then spend my day doing what ever appointments are booked in as well as any emergencies and testing samples and sending them to the laboratory.
Then off to pick the kids up and then home!

Erm… I love a range really!

What did you want to be after you left school?
I’ve wanted to be a nurse since I was about 4 years old! And I never changed my mind!!
Were you ever in trouble at school?
Not really… only that I didn’t push myself to do better
What's the best thing you've done in your career?
Every day you help someone, whether it be physically or mentally
What or who inspired you to do your job?
I was always caring, even in reception year at school. Then I had my tonsils out when I was 8 yrs old and the nurse was amazing! That just made me want to be a nurse even more!
If you weren't in healthcare, what job would you do?
I think I’d either be a hair dresser or a childminder
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
