• Question: What is the grossest thing you dealt with?

      I’m not clinical so can’t give an example. I’ve opened some gross emails or word documents with bad formatting which I don’t like. Or maybe an excel file that is really complex!

      It’s an odd thing, but when I was a nursing assistant (we would call that a healthcare assistant now) I dealt with all sorts of poo, sick and wee and it never struck me as gross, although I will admit that infected wounds don’t smell very nice. People are vulnerable and they aren’t doing it on purpose, so it’s quite easy to be compassionate. It’s certainly not as gross as some of the nonsense I had to deal with when I was a barmaid!
