Not all jobs work in primary care by which I mean your local GP practice or community pharmacy but there are lots you can do.
In healthcare there are clinical roles such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapy, pharmacy, dentistry, opticians etc etc. There are non-clinical roles by which I mean they don’t see patients, these might be admin or finance people. There are lots of IT people to make sure all the systems work. There are people to design posters, cook meals, transport patients, service vehicles or work as scientists doing research into new treatments and drugs
It’s incredibly broad. Although the biggest groups by numbers are doctors and nurses, the NHS employs everyone from electricians and carpenters, though cleaners and caterers, to lawyers and accountants and business data specialists. There’s not much we don’t cover!
