  I work a variety of hours – usually 4 long days of 08:00-19:00 on weekdays. I usually have Weds or Fri off each week, but depends on my colleagues and annual leave. It’s not a precise rota! Most full time GPs work can work anything from 35-50 hours per week. Out of Hours is usually optional, but some contracts might specify it as compulsory. Overnight is covered by GP Out of Hours services, so there is always the option to do that work if you would prefer to work out of hours. It can be very flexible and usually you can find the right GP job to suit you.
