      Hi again Ellie!
NHS through and through, I’d object to any notion that a patient could get a different standard of care because they’re paying for my time. There is an argument that people who can afford to pay should to relieve resources on the NHS but I think that would lead to a two-tier NHS which they have in other countries. The NHS is celebrated worldwide for it’s level of access, and GPs will see 90% of the patients seen in the NHS today.

The NHS – I really believe the NHS is wonderful! (Agree we are struggling a bit in the last few years, but nowhere in the world is there a healthcare system that works as well as ours!)

I think things may change a little over the next few years… and private work may become more prominent! I think there is talk of Virgin doing private GP surgeries which may change the current climate.

Money can complicate things….so I like the challenge of using resources effectively, rather than ordering unnecessary tests (which is the risk if people pay for this!)

I think a mixture of both is the best but for medicine the NHS is an amazing organisation so I’d choose the NHS.

I am a huge supporter of the NHS and for the constitution. I think that private care has its place and can often support the NHS as well.

I would definitely want to work for a NHS which fundamental value is offering free healthcare (something I’m really proud off).
