Education:
I did A-levels in Stourbridge, went to Manchester University Medical School. Then did a different speciality to what I am doing now for a little while. Then when my family started to grow, I decided the work-life balamce wasnt all that great and so ‘jumped ship.’ Now I am a final year trainee in General Practice and the work-life balance is amazing and I get to work part-time as well as using all the information that I have learned from Medical School.

My Typical Day:
A typical day for me is often skipping breakfast because I often turn my alarm off!! I am trying to get better at this.
Then I rush to work to start appointments booked from 9am to talk with patients about their health problems and taking a quick break to have a quick snack. Lunch is a nice time to catch up with other trainees and colleagues. I then do another session of seeing patients before finishing at about 6pm.
Please believe me when I say that no two days are ever the same! I work only 3 days a week meaning I get time to do the things I enjoy. I really love my job and cant imagine doing anything else!

Who is your favourite singer or band?
My favourite band is the Strokes.

I love to eat anything sweet…favourite at the moment is Baklava.
What did you want to be after you left school?
I always wanted to be a doctor from a young age.
Were you ever in trouble at school?
That would be telling!
What's the best thing you've done in your career?
I was very lucky to be able to work in South Africa and help those who are less fortunate than myself. It was very rewarding.
What or who inspired you to do your job?
My late father inspired me to be who I am now. Growing up, he would always encourage us all to be ambitious and never give up. After all, we have the same brain but some of us have learned to use it ‘differently.’
If you weren't in healthcare, what job would you do?
I think I would be an engineer working for a car/construction company. I love to know how ‘things work.’
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
Oooh! This is a hard one.!
1. Happiness and health
2. Endless supply of money but would still want to work
3. Have another billion wishes!! #laughing
