My Typical Day:
Typically I wake up around 6am, we all get ready for School/Work and have breakfast together.
I start work at 8am, my role is very varied. It can vary from updating medication records, dealing with medication supply alternatives, checking if patients require medical tests (blood test/blood pressure checks), arranging patients medication reviews with clinicians, responding to drug alerts, supporting patients with managing their medications and supporting colleagues with their learning and development.
I do 37hours over the 5 days, my finish time ranges from 2pm -6pm. This is so I can accommodate my family and work life balance.

You could say a number of people/situation inspired me to move into this career.
- My older Sister, I sometimes used to go and see her at her place of work (I used to get a free lollipop)
- I was working for a Finance company at the time and through the window from my desk I noticed a girl sitting on the floor outside a front door across the road, at first it looked like she was just sitting there but as I kept glancing up and I could see she was starting to get more distress. Anyway in a nutshell I left my desk and went across the road to see if I could help. I did and I made a difference.
- Somebody I worked with during the above made a comment saying “I wouldn’t have done that, it’s her own fault she is in that house” It made me rethink my career.
