I have two children (15 & 11) and a Cavapoo. We love to get away and explore in our spare time. My other hobbies are running, mountain biking and a spot of DIY. See how I said we love to explore… well this will explain the vehicles I drive. Along with a car I also drive a Motorhome and a Motorbike!

My Work:
I primarily did my Pharmacy Technician training in Hospital at the Nottingham University Hospitals; I was there for 14yrs before I had the opportunity to work for a Stem Cell Biobank. Since then I’ve ventured into Community Pharmacy, back into Hospital (Sherwood Forest Hospitals) and now working in GP practices for a Primary Care Network.

My Typical Day:
Typically I wake up around 6am, we all get ready for School/Work and have breakfast together.
I start work at 8am, my role is very varied. It can vary from updating medication records, dealing with medication supply alternatives, checking if patients require medical tests (blood test/blood pressure checks), arranging patients medication reviews with clinicians, responding to drug alerts, supporting patients with managing their medications and supporting colleagues with their learning and development.
I do 37hours over the 5 days, my finish time ranges from 2pm -6pm. This is so I can accommodate my family and work life balance.
